1//16/2026-1/24/2026I love this company i had a french drain and sump pump installed after many years of getting quotes and not being sure what company to use due to some over pricing and others just not feeling right i finally decided to pick Blue umbrella and i dont regret it one bit. The workers were great they were very clean and got to the job the only reason a 2 day job turned into a longer job is because i had to get a footer installed first and then we also had a few snow storms but when it was finished it was prefect. The head guy was very helpful and told me step by step what was going on and what was going to happen, I also love the warranty that comes with the system i would suggest this company for basement waterproofing every time

We had Blue Umbrella in as we had damp issues and water infiltration in our basement and needed a sump pump installing. From start to finish, they were fantastic. The consultation was incredibly clear, straightforward and without catches. We were given various options for the work with no pushiness to go for more expensive extras. Scheduling with Nelson was very simple and he was quick to answer any follow up questions we had. The team that came to do the work were great, even offering to help with moving some flooring supplies I had delivered on the same day! They got on with the job, tidied up nicely afterwards, and talked me through each step of the work as it was being done. I would recommend Blue Umbrella

After struggling with ongoing basement issues and trying multiple contractors with no real results, working with Blue Umbrella Waterproofing was a complete game changer for us. They were the first team that truly identified the root cause and delivered a solution that actually worked.A special thanks to Nelson, the inspector, who was outstanding from day one. He took the time to thoroughly explain the problem, walked us through the entire process in a way that was easy to understand, and stayed involved from start to finish. His transparency and patience made a huge difference in building our confidence.I also want to recognize Paul, who handled the actual waterproofing work. His professionalism, attention to detail, and quality of execution were top-notch. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows in the final result.Overall, the experience was smooth, honest, and highly professional. After so many failed attempts with others, it was a huge relief to finally have this issue resolved the right way. I highly recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing to anyone dealing with basement problems.

Blue umbrella waterproofing is a top notch company. They are very efficient and have very good and honest trustworthy employee's that work for them. There sales team are not pushy and very informative. They make you feel very comfortable when making a decision to trust your home with them. In my recent experience the team came out and got right to work and within a couple of hours the job was already almost completed. We ran into a small snag that was unavoidable due to the age of my home and the team at blue umbrella reacted extremely fast and had a solution in place. Repairs were same day and they did not leave until the work was to my satisfaction which hands down was an added plus. The manager came out to make sure everything was done correctly and work area was cleaned extra good. The staff is very personable and friendly. By far the best home improvement job that I have had in a very long time. Every thing they said they were going to do was done to exactly how they said it was going to be. Another good part about this company is that if you should ever need additional work or to add on to the service you had install they make it very easy to have that completed. I highly recommend blue umbrella as your next waterproofing specialist to get things done the right way.

I had waterproofing work done in my basement, including a drain and sump pump installation, and had a very positive experience.Nelson, who handled the estimate and walked me through the process, was very helpful and easy to work with. The crew completed the entire project in one day and kept everything moving efficiently. There were a few minor items that came up afterward, but the owner, Steve, was very responsive and quick to address them.Overall, I’m happy with the outcome and would recommend them for basement waterproofing work.

I was very impressed by my experience with Blue Umbrella Waterproofing from start to finish. After years of dreading every heavy rainstorm, I finally reached out after a recent streak of rain because water had been infiltrating parts of my basement. I did my research on basement waterproofing and Blue Umbrella was the top contender. They were not only transparent with all aspects of the project, but also extremely passionate about the service they are able to provide concerned homeowners when it comes to water issues.Tony C. was diligent and responsive at all points of the process, easing my concerns and educating me on the solution they were implementing (full perimeter drainage system and a new sump pump with a battery backup). He scheduled me for the project in less than a week’s time, came on-site with the crew the morning of, and checked in both during and after the construction. The crew themselves were very professional, clean, and thorough with their work. I can’t believe all they were able to accomplish in just a single day’s work! It’s a messy job by nature, but they were incredibly respectful of my home. Steve, the owner, checked in the following morning to address any concerns I may have had. He offered advice and availability for handling any future concerns. For what can seem like an intimidating process, Blue Umbrella provided a supportive experience and I highly recommend their services for anyone considering a waterproofing solution! You can rest assured knowing they will do honest, qualified, and reliable work.

My thanks to the Blue Umbrella Team,I wanted to reach out and let you know how happy I am with the waterproofing job you just finished up in my basement. The whole experience was honestly great from start to finish.I really want to give a shout-out to Tony, the inspector. He was awesome to work with—super thorough and took the time to explain everything so I actually knew what was going on. He made me feel a lot more comfortable about the whole project before we even got started. Also, a big thanks to Paul and his crew. Paul is a fantastic crew leader; he kept everything moving and stayed on top of all the details. They were respectful of my place, worked hard, and didn't leave a mess behind, which I really appreciated. It’s such a relief to have a dry basement again. I’ll definitely be passing your name along to anyone I know looking for waterproofing helpThanks againDain

We decided to waterproof our basement with Blue Umbrella after receiving a quote from a larger company. Jim came out and thoroughly explained the entire process, answered all of our questions, and was always available whenever I needed clarification. They scheduled our project for two weeks later, and the work was completed in just two days.Jose arrived with his crew on the first day and walked me through what to expect for both day one and day two. Once everything was finished, they cleaned up completely and took the time to explain the completed work. I truly recommend Blue Umbrella — they were referred to us by a friend, and we’re very glad we went with them.

Great experience. Tony was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough, and maybe most importantly, he didn't pressure us. We are confident we received the best price, service and work around. Tony and the owner Steve both came by the day of installation to oversee the work personally. I'll be recommending Blue Umbrella to anyone who needs waterproofing!

We were getting water in our basement. It would flood 1-2 inches every major storm we’ve had. I contacted Blue Umbrella Waterproofing and Jim came to my home for a free inspection. Every area and then some, he noticed where water was entering my home where we didn’t even realize. We eventually hired them after looking at what other companies were offering and felt they were the best option. We were so impressed. 9AM. Jim onsite. Foreman onsite. Their crew was already setting up. Only access to the basement was through front or back door. They lid down tarps. Plenty of tarps to not damage our hardwood floor. They layered plastic everywhere so dust wouldn’t get into the upstairs living area. And end of day, we haven’t had a drop of water since. Thankyou Blue Umbrella.

My family and I would like to express our sincere gratitude of the exceptional work from owner Steve & his team from Blue Umbrella. Steve's team, salesman & customer service rep Tony & Foreman Jose & the crew worked together like a well oiled machine to complete our basement waterproofing installation. From Tony's initial consultation to the final cleanup, the professionalism and expertise demonstrated by Blue Umbrella was outstanding. When the team arrived on Friday morning, they clearly explained the steps involved in the process, and addressed all of my concerns regarding the specific issues in my basement. I had cleared out all of our personal belongings days before so the crew could unhook the washer, dryer and refrigerator, then moved them to the center of the room. That's it! That's all I had to do. The rest of the time I stayed out of the crews way and I started shooting short videos and taking pictures throughout the whole process. It was amazing watching the crew work together over that 8 hour period. I also had an original oil tank that was located in the corner of the basement. After removing it when we first moved into the house we replaced it with a gas furnace in a different part of the basement. There was a concrete lip that surrounded the oil tank at the time and it was never removed. I asked the owner Steve about chipping the concrete lip to make that part of the floor more level for when I use a floor epoxy to finish the floor. He had one of the crew chip it out with the jackhammer and go over it with fresh concrete. He didn't charge us any extra for the work. It goes to show you the big heart this company has in treating their clients with respect and appreciation in any little way possible. The Blue Umbrella crew of 8 worked effortlessly with installing the French drain system with a 1 horsepower Blue Angel sump pump, including a trench drain drainage system and a discharge anti freezing device. Originally Tony had told us the crew would take about 2 days to complete the project. They started at 9am and were done approximately by 5pm the same day.Now just remember that our house is a small cape and the square footage of the basement perimeter is only 108sqft. The main problem we had over the years was a wet basement. But over the last 5 years the puddles of water began to get larger and over time more leaks started to spread throughout the corners of the basement walls, so we started the search again, looking into more waterproofing companies to do the job. Not only were we happy with the quoted price, but Tony took his time to go over every aspect of the install. He made us feel very comfortable, as did the entire crew. There was none of that aggressive sales tactics being used on us.We know it's not a simple and easy decision to make about doing any type of construction on your home, but you really need to ask the right questions, meet with "MULTIPLE" businesses and to do the required research it takes to connect and work with the most efficient, trustworthy, skillful & qualified people in the business.Just a quick note to let you all know that we probably picked the wrong time of year to get the basement waterproofed, middle of winter???🤦🏻‍♂️But if you look at the detailed pictures I took the original foundation dirt & gravel underneath the jacked out concrete was still wet and not frozen. We did not have any major cracks in the foundation or in the walls of our basement. I can understand if you own a larger home with a huge basement that other water problems could factor into a longer timetable of the completion of your basement waterproofing install. It's such a relief after 22 years of finally having a peace of mind that comes with knowing the basement foundation is properly protected. It is so clear that Blue Umbrella takes great pride in delivering high-quality results. We highly recommend Steve's company Blue Umbrella Waterproofing services to anyone in need of truthful, reliable and effective waterproofing solutions.Sincerely,Mark & Robin Burgos💦💧🧱🪨👍🏼👍🏼

Our property had a lot of water issues from a poor sump pump and had a lot of moisture in the basement. We got quotes from several different waterproofing companies, including Blue Umbrella. Steve and Luis Garcia were very helpful through the entire process, without being overbearing and without trying to make a hard sell. They were willing to work with us on the price, and also offer competitive pricing. They use top-of-the-line equipment for the project and I have no issues at all with the instillation. We added a second sump pump with battery backups, a French drain, and a dehumidifier. I could tell the humidity in the basement had improved almost immediately after instillation. They were also very quick to come out and get the job done, and the crew was very efficient and finished ahead of schedule both days of the project. I would highly recommend them for any basement waterproofing project.

My fiancé and I recently moved into a new home, and within just two days we discovered water in the basement—something the seller had failed to disclose. We were devastated, fearing we had made the worst decision of our lives after spending our life savings on this house. In a panic, I began calling basement waterproofing companies. One company sent someone out right away, but their salesman was pushy and left us feeling uneasy about their approach. Then we met Tony from Blue Umbrella. From the very first conversation, Tony stood out—professional, empathetic, and clearly an expert in his field. He immediately put our minds at ease, never pressured us, and offered a solution that was both cost-effective and perfectly aligned with our needs. The crew finished the job today, and we couldn’t be happier. They left our home spotless, completed the project ahead of schedule, stayed right on budget, and most importantly, restored the peace of mind we had been missing for weeks. We are deeply grateful to Steve, Tony, Jose, and the entire Blue Umbrella team for their hard work and care. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone in need of basement waterproofing. Thank you, Blue Umbrella, for turning a nightmare into relief and confidence in our home again!

Steve and his team and Blue Umbrella are truly world class. They remediated a serious leak issue in my garage by installing a French drain system and sump pump. The job was done quickly, cleanly, and everything works great. Recently when I had water leaking in to my garage again they came back to assess the issue and even though it was determined the new leak had nothing to do with their original job, they stepped up and fixed everything for me. Truly can’t recommend the Blue Umbrella team enough. Thank you guys!

I have only positive things to say about this company. I had 3 Top tier similar companies come out to give me estimates and review the information with me. Even though they weren't the lowest price... It seemed that no companies offered Similar protection against future events. The guarantee from Fortress itself that is apparently lasts the lifetime of the home makes it the best investment. During the process I had one of the Blue Umbrella employees come out twice to take measurements and go over pricing. During the installation the owner Steve came to do a little inspection And together we noticed that there was one more place that a strap could be placed. Being that we already agreed on the price he actually added the last strap for free which I think speaks a lot for the company. Steve also gave me honest advice on how I can resolve other related problems in the basement and the reason I know that it was honest is he told me in that case it would be cheaper to go with somebody else😆. When the owner of a company is willing to be that honest you know they are not looking to screw you over and nickel and dime you. Additionally the workers who came were meticulously clean about the environment and laid down paper And plastic to protect the floors and items around the problem areas. Although I would like to give balanced feedback it's difficult to come up with any negatives other than damn basement problems are expensive😅... thanks to everyone involved. I will definitely use Blue Umbrella again when I have a problem that I know needs to be dealt with correctly the first time. Of course I can't predict the future but I am hopeful that the investment in the warranty will keep my future buyers satisfied as other companies only offered 25 years... which is most likely the time where I would be selling the home.

Blue Umbrella's team was amazing! Fernando is such a handing working member in the company. He was very polite, professional and came two days in a row. One day to install the vaper barrier and the other day to dig one part outside till the footer and apply hydrolic paint to the leakage area. He worked long hours and on the 2nd day even worked till 7:30pm. He went above and beyond. Looking forward to the heavy rain to test out the whole waterproof system. Only one minor thing is that our basement wasn't left as clean as the other reviewers mentioned. I specifically requested to have the AC unit, the water boiler, washer and dryer to be covered with plastic drops before they started the job and they agreed. However, when the job was done, they were all covered with dust. Because if they don't have time to do it, I would have covered them myself ahead of the time. Anyway, the most important thing is a working waterproof system! We will be eternally grateful if no more water in the basement!

Highly recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing for their experience and knowledge. Our first meeting with Tony, PM for Blue Umbrella went better than expected. He listened to the issues with the basement, the took the time to explain what Blue Umbrella had to offer as a fix. The day the work was scheduled, the job started on time in the morning and completed, as promised, that afternoon. The team led by Jose, were very courteous and professional. When the job was completed, the job site was already cleaned, very little for us to do but wait for the cement to cure.We very much appreciate the work completed by Blue Umbrella and would highly recommend and use them again.

Steve and his team are truly professional and knowledgeable in their work. As a Civil Engineer, I understand how challenging waterproofing can be to control, yet Steve and his colleague Bruce took the time to clearly explain their methods and best practices. This gave me full confidence in their approach. They inspected a house I am considering purchasing and provided me with a detailed quotation. I was very satisfied with the thoroughness of their inspection, their professionalism, and the reassurance they gave me throughout the process. If the house purchase goes through, I would not hesitate to move forward with them for the work.

Tony, Paul and the entire crew from Blue Umbrella were very thorough and professional with the modernization of our french drain system in our basement. I myself was very diligent about my basement project and had done a lot of research and reading. I had tons of questions and concerns from my side on the design of the system, but Tony was very patient with my questions, understood my concerns and was willing to address them with the new system's design . This company gave me comfort and assurance through out our discussions and they really knew what they were talking about.Paul and his crew were very thorough during the job and left the place in decent shape.

Steve, Tony, and Jose along with the rest of the team made my basement waterproofing experience easy, stress-free, and cost effective.Starting from the initial consultation Tony made the experience very non threatening, informational, and very tailored to our specific needs. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch at all.On top of that, their professional recommendations regarding my foundation cracks and high quality parts and equipment made me feel at ease regarding my home. We went with straps to protect the foundation from further damage, a whole house french drain, and new sump pump with back up battery and commercial dehumidifier.Sounds like a lot but really took only two days for the job to be finished! Talk about efficiency. If you want to set it and forget and never worry about water in your basement and other water proofing needs. GO BLUE UMBRELLA!The pictures don’t do the job justice but I can assure you the work was done with precision!

The Blue Umbrella team just finished putting in a French drain and waterproofing my basement and did an amazing job! Tony did a great job walking me through the process and making me comfortable on what was being done. Diego and team were such hard workers installing the French drain and pumps. The final step was adding the vapor barrier and Fernando made it all come together. My basement looks great and now I don’t have to worry about water getting in. I recommend Blue Umbrella to anyone who is thinking of doing what I had done.

We hired blue umbrella to do our basement. We had a water issue. They did a wonderful job and they are very neat clean and very courteous. I couldn’t have asked for a bitter company to do our basement. It looks beautiful when they left. You never knew they were here except for the repair and the new equipment, which is also very good quality. I can’t say enough how wonderful and awesome the job they did is. If you have water issues in your basement, this is the company to hire!

My experience working with Steve and his team was nothing short of exceptional. Luckily, we did not need his team to help us with an emergency flood or leak. Updating our french drain and sump pump system was identified as a priority during our initial home inspection. What is different with Steve from others I interviewed to contract this work, he was incredibly knowledgable. He was the only person I spoke with that was willing to explain how problems emerge requiring waterproofing and the process he and his team use to ensure our basement will never experience major issues. Also, his pricing was very reasonable based on the value of work completed. I highly recommend and will be a repeat customer!

Dee V and the entire Blue Umbrella team were flawless. Honest, professional and knowledgeable. Unlike other companies we reviewed, their materials were superior—stronger pumps, sturdier drain pipes with no clog drainage, bigger container bin and the adherence to respect older homes (they installed foundation support not to compromise our 1929 walls)! We installed window well drains as well and they were half the price of competitors—better system. The owner, Steve, is an ex police officer and is totally committed to service. I called him 3x and he answered immediately and introduced himself as the owner before he knew whether I had a question or a complaint. I had NO complaints, by the way. The team came on time, stayed until the work was done and were back to review the work. They also left the basement swept and sprayed clean after each step.If you don’t want a flashy sales pitch, want honest pricing and quality materials—Blue Umbrella is your company.

Damaged my foundation. It crumbled. Left with a big disaster. Called and texted blown off for weeks waiting to see if they could fix. Finally told me they couldn’t fix it or help me. Now I have a cracked foundation and no French drain. Completely ignored me many times. Most stressful experience I have ever had with a contractor. They should have not jack hammered my floor after seeing the wall. It couldn’t handle it.

Steve from Blue Umbrella did waterproofing of our house 2 years ago, and everything has held up great! Our basement has remained extremely dry, the sump pumps work perfectly with battery backup, and the vapor barrier adds a clean look to the many unfinished areas of our basement. Steve and his crew were extremely professional and responsive throughout the process and went well out of their way to educate us on the best practices and decisions made throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend Blue Umbrella to anyone in the future!

I unfortunately had drainage issues after my new addition was completed and found Blue Umbrella Waterproofing online. Tony came for a free estimate and educated me on the issue and explained the entire process to remediate my issue from start to finish. All work was done as agreed upon, in a timely fashion, and extra care was made to ensure my personal property was kept tidy and safe from the work zone. They also made a great effort to put the flooring and insulation aside that could be reinstalled saving me extra material costs. Tony kept me apprised with updates during the 2 day process and Paul the foreman and the crew were great and even shared with me photos and videos along the way! I’d happily recommend this company in the future and note that they offer a variety of competitive financing options if a consideration.

Amazing experience from top to bottom. When I called Blue Umbrella I got Steve, the owner, not a call center. He was understanding to my situation and quickly got a salesman out two days later. Marvin was thorough and honest, gave me options that helped my issue, and never made me feel like I was being sold anything. Felt like they cared about fixing my issues. After agreeing to the job, we scheduled it for 5 days later. The morning of the job the owner Steve and my salesman Marvin were both at my house with coffee and donuts thanking us for giving them the job. Jose, the lead foreman made sure the house was covered in protective tarp from any debris and him and his crew worked excellent the entire day. When the job was done, the team made the area cleaner than it was when they came in. Would recommend this company to anyone with water issues in their basement, you will not be disappointed.

We recently hired Blue Umbrella to redo our basement waterproofing after finding evidence of water damage in our new home. We met with Tony for the initial inspection. Unlike other companies, he wasn't pushy and explained what they would do, and more importantly, why. We really appreciated the educational aspect of it and ended up choosing them. The crew that did the work arrived on time. They somehow managed to dig a french drain and install our new sump pump with battery backup in a single day! They were a very well oiled machine - they clearly knew what they were doing, did it fast, and cleaned up after themselves. We're confident that our basement won't flood and are very happy that we went with Blue Umbrella. Thank you Steve and Tony and team!

We used Blue Umbrella to update our basement waterproofing following major plumbing updates to our sewer & water main lines. Our initial bid & inspection were provided by Marvin, who I cannot say enough positive things about. He is such a great person -- extremely knowledgeable, authentic and honest. He also took the time to help me make sense of other bids we had gotten for the waterproofing job and to understand what solutions made the most sense for our basement. In the end, we decided to go with Blue Umbrella. Not only did they offer a far more competitive price point for the overall job (which included replacing a poorly installed sump pump that our plumber put in & a brand new French drain installation) -- but, also included in our bid were the leader line installation, moisture barrier installation and a new dehumidifier installation. Our project managers (Wilson & Diego) were extremely knowledgeable & led a great crew of workers, who were all highly efficient, hard working & courteous. Our job took 2 days, and both days the crew left our job site immaculate. They even took the time to backfill the trench left behind by the plumbing company, because the dirt had settled quite a bit, and this, without even being asked to do so. This entire team went above & beyond for our project, from owner (Steve), to supervisor (Marvin), to Wilson and the entire work crew. These guys were all wonderful! Best of all, their work comes with a Lifetime Warranty certificate, which can be transferred should we ever sell this home. I highly recommend Blue Umbrella. You won't be disappointed with their professionalism, their authenticity, or their superior work. Thanks so much!

We consulted with 5 different companies and Blue Umbrella was our pick after hearing everyone out and doing our own research. I could not be happier with our decision. Blue Umbrella has excellent service, good warranties, and most importantly, an excellent top-of-the-line system. The job was completed in one day and done very professionally.Tony helped us from the start and helped us understand the process very well. Steve, the owner, came to the job site and made himself available to us for anything even after the job was done. Robin, the foreman, was very knowledgeable and stopped to answer any questions we had. All guys were amazing and the experience was great.Coming back to the system it self, I feel confident our basement is in a better place and have peace of mind. If you are considering Blue Umbrella I highly recommend listening to them about their approach and the system they put in place.

The team at Blue Umbrella was fantastic from start to finish. We all worry about our homes and who we choose to do work, especially when it comes to big projects like these. Tony, Steve and the entire team were fantastic. It started with Tony, coming to my house and giving me all the information I needed to understand what was happening and how to fix it.I got busy, and they did a great job following up. Not being pushy at all, just checking in. When I finally had time to schedule the work, they were able to accommodate my schedule. On the day of the project, they arrived on time, were neat, and cleaned up everything when they were done. The process was quick and easy and I feel confident that this will solve my water problems.Don't waste your time getting 3-4 quotes... These folks are great and are worth every penny.

From beginning to end, I had a great experience with Blue Umbrella. Marvin was very thorough during his initial visit. Both Marvin and Steve stopped by a few times during the installation to make sure everything went as planned. The workers were great as well. All our belongings were covered in plastic and everything was clean and reinstalled when the job was complete. We just had some heavy rain and the basement is nice and dry. Thank you.

Blue Umbrella fixed a large horizontal crack in my home’s foundation (25-foot long, 3/8” wide). They installed a terrific “Fortress” system consisting of super-strong vertical straps attached with super-strong epoxy, then anchored super-securely at the top and bottom. (The Fortress system is much stronger than competing strap systems.) My wall is even stronger now than when it was built. And the job comes with a lifetime warranty (material and labor) that is transferable to a future homeowner! Blue Umbrella’s owner Steve Karlik oversaw the project closely and went to great lengths to make sure the job met the standards of all involved: me, the manufacturer Fortress, and Steve himself. Steve has extraordinarily high standards for work quality and customer satisfaction. I am very pleased, and I highly recommend Blue Umbrella for foundation repairs.

Had such a great experience with Blue Umbrella. Steve, takes great pride in his company, the work they provide, and the satisfaction of his customers. Had foundation reinforcement applied across a wall in my basement. Tony and his team were absolute professionals who did the project right and did so with massive respect for our home. The entire team followed up to ensure that I was satisfied with the project and ensured there was no concerns.Great company, and a great team. Would recommend.

I have never experienced the level of customer care, and expediency, that I have with Blue Umbrella. From when I asked for a quote to when the job was done was a total of two weeks. Tony was incredible with explaining why their approach made the most sense for me and the lifetime home guarantee made me so much more comfortable. They left the basement and yard incredibly clean, they paid attention to the little stuff. My favorite part, during the workers lunch break, they blew the leaves off of the yard so my boys could keep playing soccer, and even kicked the ball around with them. While I will never need their services again, that is possibly the best recommendation I can give. My home is safe, my family is safe, I have peace of mind, and I appreciate how well Blue Umbrella accomplished everything while providing a great customer experience.

Update: After initially giving Blue Umbrella a four-star rating, the owner, Steve, personally reached out and stopped by to address my concerns. He fixed the grommets on the sump pump lids, ensuring the system is airtight to prevent radon leakage. Steve even went the extra mile by checking and fixing loose connections in the Radon system, which wasn't his responsibility, and he's also helping me with improving the air quality in my home. I’m incredibly impressed with Steve’s dedication and how he went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. I’m thrilled I chose Blue Umbrella for the job and highly recommend their services!I chose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing after getting quotes from multiple vendors, and their pricing and specs were the best. The staff was very friendly, including the sales rep, the foreman who did the work, and Steve, the owner, who personally stopped by to ensure the job was done to satisfaction. Overall, I’m pleased with the work, but there were some issues that stood out after the job was completed, particularly with the Radon sealing. There were gaps in the Radon sealant, but after reaching out, Blue Umbrella addressed them to my satisfaction. The discharge port for the dehumidifier was just an open pipe next to the sump pump. Ideally, there should have been a proper connection point for the dehumidifier hose, which I had to fix myself. Additionally, the airtight lids on the sump pump pits had grommets with holes that were too large, defeating the purpose of the airtight seals. I gave them a chance to resolve these issues, but they were hesitant, and I ended up spending a lot of time at Home Depot finding the right parts.Another issue was that while moving the washer out and back into the laundry area, it was scarred, which was disappointing.Overall, the team was great, but more attention to detail would have made the experience much better.

I'm happy that I chose blue umbrella to fix my basement water issues, after interviewed 4 vendors.Everyone I encountered has been perfect and professional. From Marvin who gave me fact-based educational solution analysis and honest suggestions, to the 3 members work crew who were super experienced and handled the work beautifully.I had one-wall, two-window drains and a sump pump installed. The work started at 9am and finished before 4pm.The work crew definitely knew what they are doing and I can feel the craftsmanship spirit. They even helped to remove the dryer, not to mention covered everything before the work, and cleaned all the work areas (inside and outside) afterward.(It turned out mold already appears on the lower part of the wall, I'm so glad I've decided to fix the problem before it's too late)

Absolutely amazing from the first phone call to the last this business is run by individuals who care! When you call, you speak to the knowledgeable owner Steve. Tony (the project manager) made an appointment with me and took the time to explain the whole process to me, he even went as far to explain the differences between their drainage system and other companies. They kept me up to date and informed the day of install, with the owner even showing up on sight to introduce himself and make sure everything was running smoothly. As a realtor I meet a lot of different venders in this business that my clients use, but from now on I will ONLY recommend them. Blue Umbrella delivers a service and experience that the totally unmatched. 10 out of 10!

We had the best experience of getting French drains from start to finish. Jim was very personable and explained every detail of a French drain and how it works (which is nice to know). His presentation was very informative to make sure we made the right choice. The crew that came over to do the job was excellent. Steve the owner came by after to check the basement just to make sure the best job was done. Steve made sure they went above and beyond with cleaning up the aftermath. Steve then installed the dehumidifier and made sure we knew how to clean the filters. This company makes sure you are all set as opposed to installing and leaving. Highly recommend.

I recently had Blue Umbrella Waterproofing take on the monumental task of waterproofing my basement, and let me tell you, they did an extraordinary job! Before they came along, my basement had turned into an indoor pool every time it rained. But now? Not a drop of water, not a hint of mold—just a perfectly dry basement.I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when I saw them practically taking my entire basement apart. But, as it turns out, it was all for good reason. They were quick, efficient, and incredibly professional throughout the process. In no time, the basement was back together, and it looked (and functioned) better than ever.A special shout-out goes to Marvin, the associate I worked with. Marvin wasn’t just great—he was exceptional! He was consistently checking in on the status, making sure everything was running smoothly. He even brought a cake for my child, which was an unexpected and delightful surprise. And just when I thought the job was done, he sent a box of cookies as a gift for being a "good client." Who does that anymore?Blue Umbrella Waterproofing turned a potentially stressful situation into a pleasant experience. If you need waterproofing done, these are the people to call. Thanks again, Blue Umbrella, and an extra thanks to Marvin for going above and beyond!

Happy i chose Blue Umbrella to do a french drain in my basement. Marvin was an excellent point of contact and a great source of info. Heavy Rains! We slept like babies.I've been waiting to write this review for a few months. It's been hot and dry and honestly our system never needed to go on. That all changed this past week, and I'm happy to report, our beautiful system worked beautifully.Steve, the owner and Anthony, our systems specialist were outstanding.I would highly recommend the system, and equally as important, thepeople who make this company what it is.Thank you Blue Umbrella

I went out & obtained multiple estimates, as I was getting water in my basement. In the end, Blue Umbrella was far above everyone else's presentation. We hired them, job was done in 1 day, & we haven't had water since. From the original presentation, to the work being done, to the follow up afterwards, I cannot speak highly enough. I'm a Realtor, & know it's tough finding strong companies to refer to my clients. After using Blue Umbrella myself, I've added them to my list of resources I can confidently refer out to clients. A 5 star company all around. We made the right decision. -Jason Brinker. RE/MAX Country Realty

From start to finish the experience with Blue Umbrella was amazing. Marvin came out exactly as scheduled and not only worked through a solution with me but also gave a really informative presentation. From there he was available for any and all questions. His team came out a few weeks later and did an amazing job. They were prompt and our french drain was put in in under a day! To top it off he brought cookies the day of, customer service unmatched! I also love that the system is insured not just for when we own the home but beyond, gives really good peace of mind.

Blue Umbrella did an excellent job waterproofing my finished basement by installing a French drain sumps and battery backup. The process was well explained by Steve and the work was within schedule and scope. I was very happy that they made the extra effort to place the second sump into a tight closet space, invisible to someone entering the finished basement. Overall the experience was very, very positive.

Blue Umbrella is phenomenal! We started our basement renovation and after demo the contractor shared our current waterproofing system seems to be failing and we should replace it before finishing the basement. They don’t do waterproofing so we researched and contacted a bunch of companies. We landed on 3 companies with 3 different systems to do in-person visits. Blue Umbrella stood out and far exceeded the rest from the initial inquiry. They showed up prepared with a video explaining their process, why basements need waterproofing, the actual product they will install and those they remove from homes and explained the pros and cons of the systems. None of the other companies educated us on waterproofing at all. Blue Umbrella did.We ended up going with the full waterproofing offerings including: French drain, 2 sump pumps (we had these already with our old system), battery backup, humidifier and vapor barrier (these were new additions). We have had heavy rains since the system has been installed and there has been no water intrusion in the basement. Plus it doesn’t smell musty and damp as it did with the previous system.I will note that the owner Steve is amazing. He’s in contact with you throughout the entire process. He treats his workers very kind and is at the job site every day.

Tony and his team at Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did an awesome job with my basement. This company definitely knows the ins and outs of basement waterproofing. They had no problem answering every question that I had as it was a big project to have completed. BUW made my 150+ year old basement usable and dry! They were always on time, efficient in their work, and the team made sure there was nothing left behind. They also minimized dust and noise throughout the house while they were working. I am extremely happy with the outcome and beyond thankful to them. I would recommend BUW to anyone that is looking for a professional, reliable, and trustworthy business.

Excellent experience from start to finish. They sent Marvin to come to our house and explain how they operate from start to finish and to give an estimate. I requested for him to come back a week later so we could go over the details and it was scheduled and completed within days. The job was performed exactly as described and professional done. This is the first company that I have used to do waterproofing that I can honestly say “ they definitely know what they are doing “.

Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did an excellent job installing a French drain and sump pump in my basement. I met with Tony for the initial consultation and follow up. They did a nice job cleaning up as well. I highly recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing for your waterproofing needs.

Blue Umbrella was referred to us by a trusted home inspector and were so glad. They were professional, prompt and had a whole team concerned with making sure our job was done right and at a fair price. Our questions were answered along the way and we had a couple consultations before work began. Our basement french drain system (including two sump pumps, vapor shield and dehumidifier) was installed over two days to assure everything was done right and looked spotless. Steve, Marvin and their team left everything better than they found it and gave us peace of mind along with great service. Highly recommended!

After meeting with 3 different waterproofing companies, we chose Blue Umbrella for a full french drain and sump pump installation. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice! We had an existing french drain system that was failing due to iron ochre so it was important to us that the company we hired fully understood this issue. From the beginning, Marvin and Steve (the owner) were great to work with. They were both very professional and very responsive. They answered all our questions and walked us through exactly how they would complete the work which made us feel extremely comfortable. On the day of the install, the foreman, Jose, and his team did a wonderful job. They completed the work in one day and left our basement cleaner than when they had started! They also provided us with 3 cleanouts for the drain and instructions on how to maintain it so we would not experience the same issues as with our old drain. Both Steve and Marvin were also present on the day of installation and Marvin stopped by after the work was completed to make sure that there were no issues and that we were satisfied with the work that was completed. It has been 2.5 weeks and we are thrilled that our basement is dry and that the sump pump is so quiet. We would not hesitate to recommend Blue Umbrella to anyone looking for a waterproofing company.

If you are looking for a waterproofing company, you can stop your search now as Blue Umbrella is the company you want to hire. Steve (the owner), Jim, and the crew went above and beyond to make sure our basement is ready to take on any storm. We received a free estimate visit along with the free course of how the french drains work. From the beginning of the project until the very end which included an immaculate clean up, every step of the process that was explained during the free estimate visit was checked off. The quality of work is exceptional along with the professionalism and knowledge of system being installed. Again, if you are thinking of waterproofing your basement, please do call Blue Umbrella, and you will be able to leave your home during rainy/stormy days without a worry.

Blue Umbrella Waterproofing came with a 5 star rating and they did not disappoint! Steve and Luis thoroughly assessed and explained the work that needed to be done to stop my basement from flooding. Their crew started the job on time and worked efficiently and cleanly. But, most importantly, the system they installed works to perfection! Over the last two years, the Northeast has experienced a lot more rain than usual. And this kind of rain has been causing the ground to get quickly saturated and water would seep through the sides of my house's foundation onto the basement floor. However, during the latest rain storms, Blue Umbrella's water management system has kept my basement completely dry! I'm so glad that I chose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing!

Working with Steve (the owner) from Blue Umbrella was great. He was responsive, took his time to answer questions and explain their work, and was fairly priced. Also, the quality of their work (including the thorough clean up after) and the materials they use are noticeably better than other companies. I hope I won’t need to get a sump pump and French drain put in to a future home, but if for some reason I do, I am 100% using them again

15:46 19 Mar 24

With the installation just completed a few days ago, the overall experience was very good. The work started on-time and ended on-time. The workers were very polite and made adjustments as needed to varying conditions. The clean-up was excellent. The concrete work is very good. There was no dust or residual dirt. One minor point: The sump pump configuration required parts that were not on hand. The standard configuration that is used is not flexible, and more attention should be paid to this. Otherwise, the price is right, the work is very professional, and the experience was very good.

We recently had french drains installed by Blue Umbrella. We had done some research and met with a few different waterproofing companies but once we met with Steve he explained a great detail of the type of work and the different types of drains used for the process. We ultimately decided to go with Steve and once the work started his crew did a great job and I was surprised at how quick they were able to get the job done. I had four waterproofing companies come to give me estimates and describe the work that they were proposing to do. One company proposed to only do a partial waterproofing job. This would have been much cheaper but only part of problem would be solved. One firm had a very polished presentation but I didn’t like the system they were going to install. The other two companies were close in price and comparable in work to be done. Of these two companies I chose Blue Umbrella based on Tony’s excellent presentation and Steve’s involvement from the start. The work was started on time and completed sooner than promised. The workers and foremen were careful not to make more of a mess than was necessary. They put clean tarps on our wood floors and carefully covered all our belongings to keep them clean. The basement mostly finished with plasterboards walls and carpeted floor.I am very satisfied with the quality of work done and do not hesitate to recommend them if you need basements waterproofing!

It was a long journey to decide whether we were going to water proof our basement or not and Steve was there every step of the way. From initial call, quote and coordinating the job, Steve and Blue Umbrella team were courteous, responsive and did a great job of educating us on the plan and scope of work to make our basement dry. On the day of the installation, Jose (foreman) and his team were great as they completed a rather challenging job very efficiently while leaving the premises very clean and being mindful of the area with young children in the house.I could not recommend Steve and the Blue Umbrella team enough!

We had three floods in our newly carpeted basement before finding Blue Umbrella. While other contractors steered us in the wrong direction, Steve and team were honest, fair, and most importantly correct. Since we had our French drain installed, we haven't had a drop of water despite torrential rains. While we won't be going back to carpet (too many scars), we finally have restored confidence that we won't find a pool of water any time it rains. Thank you Blue Umbrella for that peace of mind! Excellent work and customer service - couldn't recommend them highly enough.

After watching several basement waterproofing videos on YouTube, I decided to search for local companies that used the French drain system that came most recommended instead of the system that I saw most often being replaced. I contacted Blue Umbrella for a free inspection on a Saturday morning and heard back from them immediately. Tony came out to do the inspection and he was very kind and knowledgeable. He had samples and a slide presentation that answered all of my concerns. I had met with other companies and they do not compare with the professionalism provided by Tony, Steve and the Blue Umbrella crew. After the inspection I was given a detailed estimate and a timeline for the work to be done. Upon signing the contract I was scheduled for the job and the work was completed within the time frame I was given. Both Tony and Steve were present on the day of installation and that’s not something you see very often. The guys at Blue Umbrella worked quickly and diligently and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent company to take care of their basement waterproofing needs.Edit: videos added

Nothing but high praises to the Blue Umbrella crew, spoke with Tony and his crew came in and did a massive french drain on my crawl space that's huge... 8 skilled professionals who did in 1 day all the french drain, and installed 2 sump pumps. Not only did fast but also left everything super clean, very organized. Appreciate your professionalism and I wish I could remember the name of everyone from the team. They all deserve recognition.

We had the unfortunate experience of flooding in our basement. I reached out to at least three water proofing basement vendors. After reviewing what they offered us and listening to what Jim our representative shared. Blue Umbrella versus the other companies we received quotes from we decided that Blue Umbrella was the company we wanted to help us out. The personalized service is top tier. Our basement and home was left clean and most importantly our basement is dry. We highly recommend Blue Umbrella for your basement waterproofing needs.

Steve the owner, Tony and Crew @ Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did excellent work. They Truly exceeded my expectation. Steve is extremely customer focused and ensures that his customers have a good understanding of why certain thing need to be done and what they are going to do.The entire process was incredibly smooth, Steve was very detailed in explaining step by step what was happening, he constantly and consistently checked-in to ensure all work passed his quality check.I was impressed by the install, from the scrub down and sanitizing they gave the basement, to the quality of their materials, the additional drain by the door they provided at no extra charge, and last but not least a draining area for the dehumidifier which saves me the twice daily trip down to the basement.I looked at a few waterproofing companies, and am glad I choose Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. They were reliable, efficient, had high-quality standard, and lastly upfront and honest. I would recommend them for any waterproofing needs.

Steve the Owner, Tony & Crew @ Blue Umbrella Waterproofing did a fantastic job from start to finish and exceeded our expectations.Steve was always attentive and responsive to my requests and questions and truly cares that his customers are receiving the best quality at the best value! I received 4 other quotes and Blue Umbrella provided the best price with the superior quality materials and components. He will take his time during the initial in-person consultation and clearly explain the whole process with designs and videos without any high-pressure snake oil sales-tactics.I had some previous house trap/sewage issues and Steve and Team kindly went above and excavated additional areas and recemented after the plumbers finished at no additional charge and saving us $$$.Steve spent a lot of time continuing to inspect the work throughout the project to ensure everything was spot on and a good amount of time and energy sanitizing and scrubbing our basement. When they finished they left our basement in immaculate pristine bone-dry condition. Not only did they do a great job Waterproofing but I received a lot of great recommendations: dehumidifiers and renovation references. After the job was completed, he continued to answer all my questions days later. If you want an honest, reliable, competent, highly valued company using the best quality materials that goes above & beyond your expectations don't waste your time scoping out their competitors as Blue Umbrella is unmatched. Please don't only take my word for it as all the positive reviews and copious word of mouth referrals on the internal/social media are a testament of their outstanding work!I would use them again without hesitation.

I sit here on the rainiest weekend of the year and so far I am high and dry, thanks to Blue Umbrella!! Steve was great from the beginning! He assessed our basement, went through his system and how it works, and gave us an estimate that we could live with. On the day of the job, Steve, his foreman Robin, and crew did an amazing job! Couldn't be more pleased. To top it all off, Steve called yesterday to see how the system was working. Great, of course! Thanks again!!

I’m glad I picked Blue Umbrella out of 3 companies I consulted to address the water issue in my basement. Tony & the crew were on time. Tony reviewed with me what/how they’re going to do. A brand new sump pump was installed which I liked. Usually I would be seeing groundwater seepage but now after the project was completed, I have a dry basement. They cleaned before they left. Thanks to Blue Umbrella. I would recommend them without hesitancy. They’re excellent, professional & courteous. And the waterproofing was completed in one day! Of course, thanks to Steve. He sent me message to find how everything went. Although I wasn’t able to respond promptly but he shouldn’t worry because it was a job well done!

Positive experience with Blue Umbrella, who installed a French drain in our basement a couple months ago. Tony was informative, clear, and courteous during the upfront process, and the pricing was better than what competitors quoted. The installation team did a great job. Steve, the owner, was also helpful when he came by during the work and in addressing follow-up questions. The system is working smoothly. I highly recommend Blue Umbrella.

Blue Umbrella did a fantastic job installing a sump pump and interior french drain system in my house. Tony did a great job explaining the project to me during our initial conversation. The crew that came over was able to install the perimeter pipes, dig out a new sump pit, and install the sump all in one day, which was a huge plus. I had other places tell me it would take up to a week. And the final product looks great. Not only were they efficient with their time but they were also thorough. At one point the owner even stopped by and had the team fix a minor issue with my Bilco steps while they had it removed to get underneath. Somehow they even managed to thoroughly clean up the downstairs and yard before nightfall.

We got a french drain installed in the basement and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Steve and Tony are professional, quick to respond, and thorough in their explanations. The prices were also very reasonable, which I know because I had quotes from other contractors. All of their workers are also polite and hard working, getting the job done in just 1.5 days and our basement was not an easy job. I will undoubtedly call Blue Umbrella Waterproofing again for any other waterproofing needs.

We recently had water come into our basement during storm Ida. After numerous bids and countless calls to other companies. We were able to schedule Blue Umbrella to waterproof our basement. Their prices and services seemed very reasonable. We could not be happier with our decision. Tony was great at explaining and detailing all of the work needed. Steve(owner) touched base and visited the site numerous times and crew was able to finish in 1 day. Cleaned up nicely and explained all functions and location of their equipment. I’m very confident we won’t be seeing any more water coming in to our home. Blue Umbrella to the rescue !!

We had our French Drain system with a battery backup pump installed by Blue Umbrella and it a great experience. During the initial visit with Tony, he explained the whole process, took accurate measurements and showed us exactly what they would be doing. On the day of install the owner, Steve stopped by to insure the system would be done correctly and followed up through the day. The crew was efficient in getting the install done in 1 day and did a great job of cleaning up after. Would recommend this company to anyone looking for basement waterproofing

We have recently bought our first house and have had a lot of construction/renovation work done and Blue Umbrella's waterproofing job was by far the best experience ever. They far exceeded our expectations. Not only they were always on time every day they had to come in, they were fast and so clean I couldn't believe it. So clean, it looks almost as if no work has been done in my basement. Tony who managed the job was always so easy to get a hold of and the owner Steve made sure we were happy and satisfied with everything. I strongly recommend them if you need waterproofing.

We used Blue Umbrella to put in French drains and a sump pump and had a fantastic experience. Tony did a great job explaining their methodology during the sales process and it was a no brained to move forward with them. They completed the work quickly and with the highest quality. They left our basement looking cleaner than when they started. Steve checked in often and was was happy to answer any questions and went above and beyond to deliver great service and make for a great client experience.

We wanted our french drain replaced before finishing our basement. We found Blue Umbrella through positive recommendations in Facebook groups. Steve's estimate was mid priced and better than some other companies in the area. We are very happy with the work that was done and with Steve himself. He is very responsive, honest and knowledgeable and the work is quality. He doesn't try to sell you on anything, just provide his best recommendation. I ask a ton of questions and he answered all of them patiently. He stayed in contact when the work was being done and brought extra people to the job to get it done quicker. He was quick to fix some things and came back to explain how everything worked. All contractors that have since come to the house have said Blue Umbrella did everything right with the french drain. I don't say good things lightly and I would highly recommend him.

Great service! On time, effective and appropriate pricing. The owner is in contact at all times, and offers clear and honest information about the work. The crew is very respectful and efficient. After about five estimates we chose them as they were very clear, honest and professional. Strongly recommend their services and will keep using them for annual maintenance.

Steve and his team at Blue Umbrella do a great job. We spoke with several waterproofing companies and chose Blue Umbrella based on their responsiveness, thoroughness in inspecting the source of our leak, competitive price and lifetime guarantee of their work. They installed a French drain and two sump pumps in one day and Steve has been very diligent about explaining the system and answering our follow-up questions. We highly recommend!

Steve and his Blue Umbrella team really took care of all my waterproofing needs. My basement has been leaking with rain water for the past two months. After hiring a contractor and believing all my issues were solved, my basement continued to leak. I then got in touch with Blue Umbrella, and they really took the time to help solve my issue. It appears they found the source of the problem, and they even came up with a back up plan to help me feel reassured. They were able to install a french and a trench drain, redirect water if needed, and install a new sump pump and backup battery. They were clean, courteous, efficient, knowledgable, and most of all, AFFORDABLE. I will recommend to anyone in need of waterproofing services.

My Blue Umbrella Waterproofing experience was phenomenal. Steve and John walk me through the entire process and really made me feel at ease. They were honest and recommended a few options. I have a huge basement so I thought this would take at least a few days. These guys were not only able to finish the work in a single day, but left my basement spotless. If you want the work done the right way go with these guys. I promise you you won’t be disappointed.

We recently purchased a home, there was a very heavy musty smell in the basement and we wanted to have a battery powered back up for the sump pump, since our town seems to loose power from time to time so we decided to waterproof the basement and install a back up for the sump pump avoid any potential issues. Blue Umbrella was highly recommended. They did a great job. They installed a heavy duty sump pump, emergency battery backup for the sump pumps with built in high water alarms and water profed the exposed walls. In the process of waterproofing the wall we realized how much water was sitting behind our basement walls and causing all this moisture damage. Their price was fair, and it was worth every penny for our own peace of mind! We will be enjoying our basement for many years! Thanks Steve from Blue Umbrella!

Absolutely flawless service. I cannot give any higher praise and recommendation for Blue Umbrella Waterproofing. Steve and his crew showed up right on time ready to go the day of the job, no messing around right to it. We had a decent sized French drain system installed in our basement. Before lunch the system was halfway complete, these guys work like a well oiled machine. By the time the job was completed I can honestly say the basement and garage were cleaner then before Blue Umbrella came in to do the work. I shopped around for weeks before making my choice to use Steve and the guys. Let me save you the hassle, bang for the buck Blue Umbrella provides much much more service and value for the price. Not only was Steve more competitive in pricing, he even came in with a battery backup dual cast iron pump system for much less than the base price of the standard system of other companies. Not to mention even 10k less than another company. My original appraisal walk through wasn't the ordinary sales pitch that I experienced with other sales reps. Steve's presentation was much more informative and spent a hour discussing my needs rather than selling me on some profitable system for his company. He was honest and put me at ease about choosing him for this big job. These guys are organized, friendly, respectful, and well experienced professionals. Again I have nothing but high recommendations for the crew at Blue Umbrella. Give them a call, you won't regret it!

We recently purchased a home, and mold was found due to moisture in the basement. After the mold issue was resolved, we decided to waterproof the basement to avoid further issues. Blue Umbrella was highly recommended. They did a great job. They installed 2 heavy duty 1/2 horsepower sump pumps, 2 emergency battery backup sump pumps with built in high water alarms, 1 heavy duty Santa Fe dehumidifier which removes up to 70 pints a day of water from the air, and installed 14mil vapor barrier on exterior walls, stops moisture penetration, lifetime warranty. I was unaware of how much work is involved to waterproof a basement. They did a lot of work which would take another page to list everything they did! Their price was fair, and it was worth every penny for our own peace of mind! When the Town Inspector returned to see the final results, the first thing he said was “neat job, very good”We will be enjoying our basement for many years! Thanks Steve from Blue Umbrella!

Our basement had been very wet. Everyday, we were sopping and vacuuming water. We finally had enough and gave Blue Umbrella a call. We can’t say enough good things about the work they did for us. Steve spent a lot of time with us discussing our water issue and offering us solutions. The men worked hard and finished on time. They cleaned up after themselves. You wouldn’t have known we had all that debris outside. We added a dehumidifier along with the French drain system. The basement is drier than we have ever had it. We are so pleased. We have already recommended them to a neighbor.

After calling up numerous waterproofing companies, Steve Karlik and his team stood out above the rest. From the initial site visit to the finished project everything that was mentioned and agreed upon was done and felt very comfortable. The team even went above and beyond my expectations. If your looking for a professional, courteous and well priced company to solve your water proofing issuess I highly highly recommend Blue Umbrella. Just simply an awesome group of people. The crew headed by foreman Jefferson did a tremendous and beautiful job on the basement waterproofing. They arrived early, were professional and cleaned up nicely after themselves. The company owner (Steve) was in constant communication a few days prior to the work beginning and throughout the day of the job until completion. Also the price was very competitive to other quotes I had received from other companies. I think what makes them standout is that they use higher quality pipes, pumps, and equipment for a similar price than other companies. I would highly recommend.

Hired Steve and Team to repair and redesign a unique french drain in my basement. Steve is very passionate and caring about the work that he does and this clearly showed. Ownership - Outstanding!!Customer Service - Outstanding!!Quality of Work - Outstanding!!Steve and his team at Blue Umbrella were fantastic. Steve took the time to talk with my wife and I and explain every detail that was going to be done. the crew finished the job in under a days time and were nothing but excellent. We have had the Water Company and another homeowner over to our new home since the job has been completed and both have said how great the waterproofing job looked and the Water company actually asked who did the job, so they could recommend Blue Umbrella. Blue Umbrella just put a french drain in my basement that had water in 2 areas. Steve & John were great to work with during the proposal phase. John and Steve responded to my inquiry quickly. The price was very reasonable compared to another company I received a quote from. Plus they were willing to give me more waterproofing protection than the other company. This business recognizes first responders and veterans. I was able to get the project started quickly because of that. I highly recommend them.

We moved into our house about a year ago. The basement had one sump pump, but the water table in our area is high so we were getting a lot of moisture and sediment on the walls, as well as some small wet spots on the concrete floor. We would like to be able to finish the basement in the not too distant future and even the little bit of water that we were getting would have prevented us from moving forward with any additional improvements to the basement. It also helped attract spiders and kept us from wanting to go down there at all. We got quotes from Steve and one other waterproofer in the area, both of whom were recommended by a very reputable local water-remediation guy. Both companies had similar methods, but used different products/systems. While I felt both quotes were reasonable, the Blue Umbrella quote was slightly lower. But it was more than price that led my decision. My wife and I both liked the focus on keeping everything very clean, hanging tarps to keep dust from moving upstairs, using fans to pull dust outside, etc. Additionally, the system that Blue Umbrella uses is the industry standard and I felt more secure. The day that the team came to install the French drain, they were very efficient and kept me informed the entire time. Once they had opened up the floor, they brought me down to look at the footer and I could see the amount of water that was sitting under the house. It was definitely more than I expected. We have a decent sized basement, and there were a lot of obstacles to work around, but the team completed the job in a single day. The concrete finishing looks great…probably better than the concrete that was there before. The entire system is sealed up and we now have two sump pumps clearing the water out of the house. It has been a little over a month since it was installed, and every time I go down to the basement I notice that the floor is completely dry all around and the air just seems drier. I am currently monitoring the humidity levels to verify if my old dehumidifier is working properly, but it already feels better. I would recommend Steve and the guys at Blue Umbrella to anyone I know. The team was courteous and professional, and they did a great job, leaving me with a really great finished product. The team was top notch and Steve is very trustworthy. He’s honest with you right from the start and keeps you in the loop throughout the process. Great guy, great team, great company, great job!

Wow, just WOW! Steve and his team did an amazing job! And his quote was one of the least expensive of the 4 we asked for. Steve made us feel like family with his offer, and suggestions. Most importantly, the execution of the job was actually the best part out of this whole experience. His team moved all of our things into the middle of the basement and CLEANED as well as mopped when they finished. Cannot say enough about my experience with working with Blue Umbrella. There is usually some type of catch or the finished product is not what is expected. Not with blue umbrella! If you are looking for the best pricing AND the best work, you only have to make one call... blue umbrella! -Chris Belsky from Roselle Park nj.

Nothing but good things to say about the Blue Umbrella Waterproofing Company. I live in a flood zone and constantly was having water issues in my basement. They came same day I called to look at the problem and recommended that I get French drains. Also recommended to get a drain running across the basement floor where most of the water was entering from. They came a few days later and installed it in no time. They also installed a brand new pit and sump pump that was more efficient for my type of house. After the work was completed I have not had any more water entering my basement. All of the workers were professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend Blue Umbrella Waterproofing to anyone having water issues. For the amount of work that was done their prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed going with them.
